During the seventies
Arturo Masoero, owner of the Monferrina, leading company in the manufacture of professional pasta-making machines, possessor of a draughtsman's diploma, with a great vocation for gastronomy and cuisine, decided to open a restaurant. Asti, his home town, and Monferrato added a rich and ancient cultural heritage to his natural inclination.
Masoero in fact began his work in the kitchen, between plates and hotplates, together with his brother, in Asti.
